Overcurrent during acceleration

Cause:

Overcurrent. Main circuit device overheat.



Remedy:

  • Check if acceleration is too fast.

  • Check for output short circuit or ground fault.

  • Check for cooling fan stop.

  • Increase acceleration time.

  • Change fan. Remove obstacle to cooling fan.

Overcurrent during constant speed

Cause:

Overcurrent. Main circuit device overheat.



Remedy:

  • Check for sudden load change.

  • Check for output short circuit or ground fault.

  • Check for cooling fan stop.

  • Keep load stable.

  • Change fan. Remove obstacle to cooling fan.



OC During Dec

Overcurrent during deceleration

Cause:

Overcurrent. Main circuit device overheat.



Remedy:

  • Check if deceleration is too fast.

  • Check for output short circuit or ground fault.

  • Check for cooling fan stop.

  • Check if mechanical brake operates too fast.

  • Increase deceleration time.

  • Check brake operation.

Overvoltage during acceleration

Cause:

Overvoltage on DC bus (terminals P (+) and N (-)).



Remedy:

  • Check if acceleration is too fast.

  • Increase acceleration time.

Overvoltage during constant speed

Cause:

Overvoltage on DC bus (terminals P (+) and N (-)).



Remedy:

  • Check for sudden load change.

  • Keep load stable.

Overvoltage during deceleration

Overvoltage on DC bus (terminals P (+) and N (-)).



Remedy:

  • Check if deceleration is too fast.

  • Increase deceleration time (Set deceleration time which matches load GD²).

  • Reduce braking duty.

Cause:

Motor used under overload.



Remedy:

  • Reduce load.

  • Increase motor and inverter capacities.

Cause:

Motor used under overload.



Remedy:

  • Reduce load.

  • Increase motor and inverter capacities.

Cause:

Instantaneous power failure.



Remedy:

  • Check the cause of instantaneous power failure.

  • Investigate power supply system.

Cause:

Drop of power supply voltage. No jumper across terminals P (+) – P1.



Remedy:

  • Large-capacity motor started?

  • Check for jumper across terminals P (+) – P1.

  • Check power system equipment such as power supply capacity.

  • Install jumper if disconnected.

Brake transistor alarm

Cause:

Brake transistor fault (only 5.5K or less).



Remedy:

  • Check if braking duty is proper.

  • Reduce load GD².

  • Reduce braking duty.



Overspeed occurrence

Cause:

The motor speed exceeded the set overspeed level.



Remedy:

  • Check Pr. 69 “number of PLG pulses” setting correctness.

  • Set Pr. 69 “number of PLG pulses” value correctly.

Temperature detector in motor operated.



Remedy:

  • Check motor for overheat.

  • Reduce load and frequency of operation.

  • Check if motor is used under overload.

  • Reduce load.

  • Increase motor and inverter capacities.

Cause:

Option and inverter connected improperly.



Remedy:

  • Check for loose connector.

  • Securely connect.

Parameter storage device alarm

Cause:

Storage device (E²PROM) fault.



Remedy:

  • Number of parameter write times too many?

  • Change inverter.



Excessive speed deflection

Cause:

The deflection between the speed setting and motor speed exceeded the deflection level.



Remedy:

  • Is the load too large?

  • Check Pr. 69 “number of PLG pulses” setting correctness.

  • Lighten the load.

  • Set Pr. 69 “number of PLG pulses” value correctly.

Cause:

PU disconnected from connector.



Remedy:

  • Check for loose PU fitting.

  • Fit PU securely.

Cause:

Internal CPU malfunction.



Remedy:

  • Check for loose connector.

Cause:

The PLG pulse is not being input.



Remedy:

  • Check for loose connector.

  • Check for wire breakage in cable.

  • Securely connect.

  • Replace cable.

Cause:

Reset signal ON. Loose connection between PU and inverter. Communication circuit fault.



Remedy:

  • Check for miswiring to reset terminal.

  • Check for loose connector.

  • Turn the reset signal off.

  • Securely connect.

  • Change inverter.

Cause:

Difference between position command and position feedback exceeded detection level.



Remedy:

  • Check that the installation direction of the encoder for position detection and parameters match.

  • Is the load too large?

  • Check Pr. 69 “number of PLG pulses” setting correctness.

  • Check the parameters.

  • Lighten the load.

  • Set Pr. 69 “number of PLG pulses” value correctly.



No encoder A signal

The PLG pulse for the FR-VPA is not being input.



Remedy:

  • FR-VPA connected properly?

  • Check for loose connector.

  • Check for wire breakage in cable.

  • Check for detector fault.

  • Securely connect.
