AL-10

IPM fault
Over current
Current limit exceeded

Cause:

  • Motor/Encoder cable error: Wiring is incorrect or has shorts.

  • Parameter error: Motor ID [0x2000], encoder type [0x2001], or encoder form [0x2002] settings do not match motor label.

  • Motor phase resistance: Short between phases or ground.

  • Machine part problem: Conflict/binding in equipment or motor undersized.

  • Drive error: U/V/W phase current Offset is 5% or above rated current.

  • Error by noise: Noise interference in wiring.




Remedy:

  • Replace motor or encoder cables.

  • Modify motor label and parameters to match.

  • Check/Replace motor.

  • Check machine parts for binding.

  • If alarm continues after servo on, replace drive.

  • Check FG wiring and match wire sizes.


AL-11

IPM temperature

Cause:

  • Surrounding temperature: Temperature is over 50 [°C].

  • Continuous Overload: Accumulated operate overload percentage [0x2603] is high.

  • Motor cable open: Check accumulated regenerative overload [0x2606].

  • Drive setting direction: Drive setting status issue.




Remedy:

  • Lower surrounding temperature.

  • Change drive/motor capacity or tune gain.

  • Adjust regeneration resistor setting [0x2009] or use external resistor.

  • Refer to “2. Wiring and Joint”.

  • If alarm continues after servo on, replace drive.


AL-15

Current offset

Cause:

  • Motor U/V/W phase current offset too high: The offset [0x2015~0x2017] is 5% of the rated current or higher.




Remedy:

  • Rerun adjusting phase current offset.


AL-21

Continuous overload

Cause:

  • Continuous operation exceeding ratings: Load accumulating driving load rate [0x2603] is high (motor undersized).

  • Motor brake error: Motor brake is not holding.

  • Parameter setting error: Motor ID, Encoder type/form mismatch or Standard load rate setting [0x200F] issue.

  • Hardware/Wiring: Machine binding, Motor cable short, or Encoder cable short.




Remedy:

  • Change drive and motor capacity; Please tune gain.

  • Provide power to motor brake.

  • Modify parameters to match motor label info.

  • Set standard load rate to proper value.

  • Check machine part.

  • Replace motor or encoder cables.


AL-22

Drive temperature 1

Cause:

  • Surrounding temperature: Temperature is over 50 [°C].

  • Drive error: Displayed value [0x260B] differs significantly from actual surrounding temperature.




Remedy:

  • Lower surrounding temperature of drive.

  • Replace the drive.


AL-23

Regeneration overload

Cause:

  • Capacity excess: High frequency operating or continuous regenerative operating.

  • Parameter setting error: Invalid settings in [0x2009] ~ [0x200E].

  • Main power input voltage error: Main power supply issue.

  • Drive error: Regenerative resistance temperature issue in Servo-off status.




Remedy:

  • Adjust value for 0x2009. Use braking resistor.

  • Set parameters as correct values.

  • Recheck the power supply.

  • Replace the drive.


AL-24

Motor cable open

Cause:

  • Parameter setting error: Check [0x2015] value offset current.

  • Motor cable error: Cable is disconnected.

  • Motor error: Open circuit of U, V, W in motor or cable.

  • Drive error: Specific alarm signal occurs persistently.




Remedy:

  • Process the Phase Current Offset Control procedure command.

  • Replace the motor cable.

  • Replace the motor.

  • Replace drive if alarm persists after eliminating other causes.


AL-25

Drive temperature 2

Cause:

  • Surrounding temperature: Temperature is over 50 [°C].

  • Drive error: Comparing displayed drive temperature 2 [0x260C] shows discrepancy with normal status.




Remedy:

  • Lower the surrounding temperature of drive.

  • Replace the drive.

Encoder temperature

Cause:

  • Reserved.




Remedy:

  • (No specific remedy listed).

Cause:

  • Encoder cable error: Wiring is incorrect or shorted.

  • Parameter setting error: Value of [0x2001], [0x2002] does not match application motor label.

  • Encoder error: Internal encoder fault.

  • Drive error: Internal drive fault.




Remedy:

  • Disconnect, check wiring for shorts, and replace encoder cable.

  • Modify parameters to match motor label information.

  • If alarm continues after servo on, replace drive (drive or motor may have problem).


AL-33

Motor setting

Cause:

  • Setting Motor ID: Value of [0x2000] is not same with application motor label.

  • Drive error: Internal failure.




Remedy:

  • Revise ID with motor label information. (Alarm may release after power off/on).

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, replace drive.


AL-34

Z Phase open

Cause:

  • Encoder cable error: Wiring is incorrect, shorts or opens.

  • Encoder error: Internal fault.

  • Drive error: Internal fault.




Remedy:

  • Replace encoder cable.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, replace drive (or motor).


AL-35

Low battery

Cause:

  • Parameter setting error: Check setting value [0x2005].

  • Bad connection: Battery No connected or check status of battery access.

  • Battery voltage low: Voltage is under 3.3v.




Remedy:

  • Set as 1 when using absolute encoder as incremental encoder to suppress alarm.

  • Connect battery correctly.

  • Replace battery.


AL-36

Sinusoidal ENC amplitude

Cause:

  • Encoder cable error: Wiring is incorrect, check shield and FG disconnect.

  • Parameter setting error: Check setting value of encoder type [0x2001].




Remedy:

  • Replace encoder cable.

  • Check setting encoder type. Check speed command (Max: 250kHz).


AL-37

Sinusoidal ENC frequency

Cause:

Drive error, Resolver error, or Encoder error.


Remedy:


  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive (drive may have a problem).


AL-38

Encoder setting error

Cause:


  • Drive / Motor combination error (Brand label mismatch).

  • Encoder cable error (Wiring incorrect or Short).

  • Encoder or Drive internal error.



Remedy:


  • Check brand label code of motor and drive; Use motor and drive of same brand label.

  • Replace encoder cable.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.


AL-40

Under voltage

Cause:


  • Main power input voltage is over 3phase 134[Vac].

  • DC link value [0x2605] is over 190[Vdc].

  • Running when power voltage is low (wiring issue).



Remedy:


  • Recheck the power supply.

  • Use 3 phase as supply voltage.

  • Check wiring of main power supply.

  • If power input is correct but DC link error persists, Replace the drive.


AL-41

Over voltage

Cause:


  • Main power input voltage is below 253[Vac].

  • DC link value [0x2605] is below 405[V].

  • Regenerative resistance issue (Braking resistor high).

  • Acceleration/deceleration time too short.

  • Drive error.



Remedy:


  • Recheck the power supply.

  • Review the regenerative resistance considering operating condition and load.

  • Set longer acceleration/deceleration time.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.


AL-42

Main power fail

Cause:


  • Main power input voltage error (Phase 200-230Vac of L1, L2, L3).

  • Parameter setting error [0x2006].

  • Momentary power failure [0x2007].

  • Drive error.



Remedy:


  • Recheck power supply.

  • Wire or set parameter as input power on (possible 3 phase).

  • Check main power source or reduce value of [0x2007].

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.


AL-43

Control power fail

Cause:


  • Voltage between phase of C1, C2 error (Should be within 200-230Vac).

  • Drive error.



Remedy:


  • Recheck power supply of drive.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.


AL-50

Over speed limit

Cause:


  • Motor Encoder error or Encoder cable error (Wiring/Short).

  • Parameter setting error ([0x2000]-[0x2002] mismatch with label).

  • Gain adjustment required.



Remedy:


  • Replace motor cable or encoder cable.

  • Modify parameter to match motor label information.

  • Set Electronic gear ratio low (Check [0x6091]).

  • Readjust gain according to operating condition.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.


AL-51

POS following

Cause:


  • Parameter setting error ([0x3000], [0x3003], [0x3004]).

  • Position error excess time or range ([0x6066], [0x6065]).

  • Machine part has problem (forced by drive part).



Remedy:


  • Set up correct parameter according to operating method.

  • Set Electronic gear ratio low.

  • Check Machine part has problem.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.


AL-53

Excessive SPD deviation

Cause:


  • Motor/Encoder cable error (Disconnect, wiring incorrect, short).

  • Parameter setting mismatch ([0x2000] series).

  • Machine part has problem (forced by drive part).



Remedy:


  • Replace motor/encoder cable.

  • Modify parameter to match motor label information.

  • Set Electronic gear ratio low.

  • Check Machine part/limit contact point sensor.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.


AL-63

Parameter checksum

Cause:


  • When O/S is changed, parameter setting value was set as maximum value of variable form.

  • Drive error.



Remedy:


  • Restore initial parameter (0x1011). Note: Settings will change to initial values; set up parameter before operating.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.

Factory setting

Cause:

Parameter setting error. Contact service center.


Remedy:


  • Check [0x1008] Device Name.

  • Please download OS or set capacity of drive again.

  • If alarm continues after servo on again, Replace drive.


W01

Main power fail (PWR_FAIL)

Cause:

The main power failed when the action in case of main power fail is set to warning in the main power input mode setting (0x2006).


Remedy:


  • Check main power supply.

  • Check parameter [0x2006] setting.


W02

Low encoder battery (LOW_BATT)

Cause:

Encoder battery is low, when applying absolute encoder.


Remedy:


  • Check and replace encoder battery.


W04

Software position limit (SW_POS_LMT)

Cause:

When using software position limit function, position command larger than the software position value was input.


Remedy:


  • Check position command input.


W08

Excessive DB current (OV_DB_CUR)

Cause:

DB current exceeding the fault level was output.


Remedy:


  • Check operating conditions causing excessive dynamic braking current.


W10

Operation overload (OV_LOAD)

Cause:

Accumulated operation overload ratio reached the warning level (0x2010).


Remedy:


  • Check for equipment clash or arrest.

  • Check load status, brake action.

  • Check for drive output miss wiring or encoder miss wiring.

  • Check motor ID, drive ID, encoder setting.


W20

Drive/motor combination fail (SETUP)

Cause:

Motor’s current capacity is bigger than the drive’s current capacity.


Remedy:


  • Verify motor and drive compatibility.


W40

Low voltage (UD_VTG)

Cause:

The main power input voltage is under 190V when the action in case of main power fail is set to warning in the main power input mode setting (0x2006).


Remedy:


  • Check input voltage.

  • Check setting [0x2006].


W80

Emergency signal input (EMG)

Cause:

Emergency stop contact signal detected.


Remedy:


  • Check emergency stop contact signal.

  • Check external 24V power.
